A Florida Birth Records is a computer certification that has an embossed seal which is integrated in to the paper. Since the 1980′s, Florida has released computer certification that is accepted by the U.S government offices such as the Social Security Administration, U.S Passport Office, supreme courts and school districts.
In Florida, the most common reason for obtaining the record is for job applications since this is one of the documents employers look for. The certificate is also used for genealogy research. A standard fee of $9 has to be paid to the office to acquire a computerized copy of the birth record, while $14 is the cost of a photocopy of the original birth certificate. Basic birth information about the person whose records is being searched will also be required. This includes the full name of the individual, birth date, the place of birth and the name of the parents.
The person who can request for the document is the individual whose name is on the document. The parents, guardian of the subject or anybody who has a court order can also request for the record given that they have a valid reason. Information about the requesting party is needed such as the name, address and relationship to the person on the record. One will also be required to include a recent ID photo on the application. The processing period would take up to 10 days. It can be filed via fax, mail, and phone or by going to the vital records office. One can also retrieve for the birth certificate through the internet.
Technology has made the retrieval of Birth Records easier through the use of the internet. One would be able to acquire a copy of the record with just a few clicks. There would be no need to go to the local courthouse thus saving one the effort and time. With all the available sites that provide free search of birth records, many still prefer to go with the charged service since they provide a comprehensive search and detailed information of the birth of a person.
